Recent Developments in Pennsylvania Expert Discovery

by Jonathan B. Stepanian, Esq.

The past two years have seen important changes in expert discovery in Pennsylvania state and federal courts.  Two notable developments are the 2011 Pennsylvania Superior Court case of Barrick v. Holy Spirit Hospital and the amendments to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 26 that were effective on December 1, 2010.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to present at the Pennsylvania Defense Institute’s south central regional meeting on this topic.  I thought it might be helpful to share both my written materials and Powerpoint presentation here.
